This Privacy Policy explains how Gogone Developer (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the Edge Glow Android application (package name: com.gogone.edge.glow).
Plain-language summary
Edge Glow does not require an account. Designs and background images you create are stored locally on your device. The app uses Google Mobile Ads to support the service, and Google’s consent tools are used where required.
Information stored on your device
The app stores your theme settings, favorites, app preferences and selected background images in app-private storage on your device. This information is used to create, preview, apply, back up and restore your designs. We do not operate a server that receives these designs or images.
If you export a theme backup, you choose the destination through Android’s document picker. If you import a backup or select a photo, Android lets you choose the specific file. Edge Glow does not request broad access to your photo library or shared storage.
Advertising and third-party processing
Edge Glow uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) to display banner and interstitial advertisements. Google and its partners may process information such as IP-derived approximate location, app interactions, diagnostic information, and device or advertising identifiers to deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud, provide analytics, and comply with law. The exact processing depends on your region, consent choices, device settings and the ad-serving mode available.
Where required, the Google User Messaging Platform presents privacy choices before eligible ad requests. You can revisit applicable choices from the app’s Settings screen. Learn more in Google’s Privacy Policy and Google’s advertising information.
Permissions and system access
- Set wallpaper: used only when you ask the app to apply a live wallpaper.
- Display over other apps: optional access used only when you select overlay mode. You can stop the overlay from the app or its persistent notification and revoke access in Android Settings.
- Notifications: used for the active overlay status and Stop control. You may decline notification permission where Android allows.
- Internet and network state: used for advertising, consent and links you choose to open.
- Selected photo/document access: granted only for items you choose through Android’s system pickers.
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Information processed by Google Mobile Ads may be shared with Google and advertising partners for the purposes described above. Their processing is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
Retention and deletion
Local themes and images remain until you delete them, clear the app’s storage or uninstall the app. An exported backup remains wherever you chose to save it. Advertising providers retain information according to their policies and applicable law. You can reset or delete your Android advertising ID through your device’s privacy settings.
Security
The app uses app-private Android storage for local content and disables cleartext network traffic. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, but we use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the app’s operation.
Children
Edge Glow is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review the request.
International users and choices
Privacy rights vary by location. Where applicable, you may use the in-app Privacy choices entry and Android privacy controls. You may also contact us about a privacy question or request.
External links
The app may open Google Play, the developer website or other external pages at your request. Those services have their own privacy practices.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app, law or third-party services change. We will publish the revised policy with a new effective date.
