Transparent Wallpaper Camera · Last updated: 16 July 2026
This policy explains what information Transparent Wallpaper Camera (“the app,” “we,” “our”) collects, how it’s used, and the choices you have. We wrote it to describe exactly what the app does — nothing more, nothing assumed.
The short version
- The app uses your back camera to render a live wallpaper on your home and lock screen. It does not take photos, record video, or save anything from the camera, ever.
- We don’t collect your name, email, phone number, or location.
- We use Google AdMob to show ads and Firebase to fix crashes and understand which features get used. These services collect a device advertising identifier and anonymous usage/diagnostic data — not personal content.
- You control ad personalization and notification permission at any time.
Camera access
The app’s core feature is a live camera wallpaper, so the Camera permission is required for it to function at all. When you grant this permission:
- The camera feed is drawn directly to your screen through the device’s graphics pipeline.
- Nothing from the camera is written to storage, attached to a network request, uploaded to any server, or shared with any third party — including the advertising and analytics services described below.
- The camera is only active while the wallpaper is actually visible. It’s released immediately when you switch apps, lock the screen, or open another camera app.
There is no photo-capture or gallery feature in this app. Earlier versions experimented with a double-tap-to-capture feature; it has been removed, and no photo-related permission is requested.
Information collected by the app and its services
Advertising identifier
We use Google AdMob to display ads (app open, interstitial, native, and optional rewarded-video ads that unlock extra visual styles). AdMob collects your Android advertising ID and general device/app information to select and measure ads. This is a resettable identifier, not tied to your name or account — the app doesn’t have an account system.
Analytics and crash data
We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (both Google services) to see which features are used and to catch and fix crashes. This includes anonymous events such as which screen you’re on, which visual style you selected, whether a permission was granted, and technical crash/error details. None of this is tied to your identity.
Notifications
On Android 13 and above, the app asks for notification permission — only after you’ve successfully set the wallpaper, and only so it can tell you if the wallpaper gets switched off (by a theme change or another wallpaper app) or remind you once if setup was never finished. This permission can be revoked at any time in your device Settings or turned off inside the app’s own Settings screen. No data leaves your device for this feature; it’s handled entirely on-device.
Consent management
We use Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to collect and honor your ad-consent choice, as required for users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland. You can review or change this choice at any time from the app’s Settings screen under “Ad privacy options.”

If you enable AdMob mediation (e.g. AppLovin) in the future, add that network here along with a link to its privacy policy, and update your Play Console Data Safety form to match before you publish the update.
Data retention
Since we don’t operate user accounts or store camera content, there’s no personal content of yours retained by us. Advertising and analytics data is retained by Google according to their own retention policies (linked above), independent of this app.
Children’s privacy
This app is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ads shown through this app are configured with Google’s general-audience content rating and are not targeted using child-directed treatment.
Your choices
- Ad personalization: Settings → Ad privacy options (shown when required by your region), or your device’s Google Settings → Ads.
- Notifications: Settings screen in the app, or your device’s system notification settings for this app.
- Camera: Revocable at any time from your device’s app permission settings. The wallpaper simply won’t render without it.
Security
We don’t operate a server that stores your personal data, which limits our own exposure, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Data handled by our third-party providers (Google) is protected under their respective security practices.
Changes to this policy
If we change what the app collects or how it’s used, we’ll update this page and change the “Last updated” date above. Material changes (for example, adding a new data type or third-party service) will also be reflected in the app’s Play Store Data Safety section.
